7th Annual Great PUPkin Halloween Dog Costume Contest

So I decided to go see a dog costume contest close to my house in Fort Greene park this morning. I wasn't sure what to expect, but my expectations were blown out of the water. It was the funniest thing I've seen since that last gallery exhibition in Chelsea. The weather was a bit cold and the show ring was a bit small but it was all worth it! The MC was really funny and witty and there were about 40 dogs that entered the competition. As I was walking around and snapping shots I kept think that I had stepped in dog crap because the ground was wet and squishy and I figured with that many dogs around I was bound to, but I never did thankfully. Below are some of the highlights.

It was a dog eat dog competition, but this one took the milk bone! He was dressed as a flying monkey form The Wizard of Oz, complete with little hat and real feathers for wings. The funny part was that the dog actually seemed to like the costume ans was truly happy to win. So strange.

This was the most god damn funny gallery installation that I have ever seen. The photo isn't that great, but this was 30 TV screens with people standing in front of the same background all singing the same song. They were all singing along to, via ear pieces with the music piped in, different popular Madonna songs. You could clearly hear all their voices, it sounded like some type of American Idol choir, and to watch their body movements and facial expressions was priceless! In another room was bigger flat screens that had about 15 other people all singing along to Michael Jackson songs.
