This is a gentleman that Naomi and I met when we went out last night. He said he had been growing it for 6 years, and that he only uses soap to keep it in place! Apparently he makes a different design each day.

We went into a bar and came out later to find that it was snowing. It was very beautiful!

1st Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum, free!

The whole museum was open, free, and there was a sweet phototgraphy exhibit by Edward Burtynsky. The show was called Manufactured Landscapes and it was amazing. This is a view looking up from the top floor.

Guggenheim for a dollar

Tonight a friend and I went to the Guggenheim because on Friday nights it's a "suggested" donation. That means I suggest that I pay a dollar, and that I did. They are currently having an exhibit on Russian art, it was excellent.

Currently the MTA is doing a ton of work and this is one of the fine guys helping keep the subway moving. Although, it does suck when they are working on the train that you want to take, and it's usually late at night when you just want to be home.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This was a first for me. I cooked a turkey and made a lot of the side dishes! A bunch of good friends came over and we had a feast fit for kings!

The train operators use these to make sure no one gets stuck while they are closing the doors. I like to think I'm watching reality subway TV. It's good watching!

Frankly, I don't want a dog to be off a leash when it's a) too dark to see it running at/after me and b) when I'm not awake to notice it.

cabbies for jesus

On a ride home from Manhattan the cabbie told us all about Jesus and how he found him after three nights partying in clubs and doing cocaine. His cab was all decked out with stickers, buttons and cards of wisdom. Also, he had a tape recorder and asked me to talk into it and I spoke of all the good things the lord provides, such as cab drivers. He liked it a lot.

a heart as cold as ice

Cool ice cube that came from a rubber ice cube tray. They come in many different designs. I especially like this design as an ice cube.
